Polygonica, the software development toolkit for processing polygon meshes, from the creators of MachineWorks Simulation Software, recently launched version 2.1. Demonstrations of the new release will be on display at the TCT Show 2017 in Hall 3, Stand E44, between the 26th and the 28th of September at the NEC, in Birmingham, United Kingdom..
Some of the recent additions include:
- Support for fast Lattice Generation
- Sweeping of profiles and solids along paths
- Solid Convexification
- Imprinting, Embossing and Engraving Curves and Profiles
- Mesh manipulation including Fairing and Smoothing Algorithm
Polygonica provides advanced software technology to both software and hardware additive manufacturers for complex geometrical operations such as mesh healing, 3D Booleans, solid offsetting, mesh modelling, quality-based remeshing and mesh analysis. Some leading manufacturers who have integrated Polygonica’s automatic healing and advanced print preparation include 3D Systems, Stratasys, Renishaw, Desktop Metal and ANSYS Spaceclaim.
By creating their own software applications, 3D printing manufacturers take control over their Intellectual Property (IP), gain quicker access to market and add value for their customers.
David Turner from Renishaw will be speaking on behalf of MachineWorks at 14:30-14:50 on Wednesday 27th September on the TCT Product Stage during the TCT Show. The talk will be based on a case study about the use of Polygonica within Renishaw’s new ADEPT software for design and printing of maxillofacial implants.
